In part one, Negativland exposes their own manipulation of the media when a startling prank of theirs swells to monstrous proportions, while the former side two has everything you once needed to know about radio’s selling of the past in a future which hadn’t happened yet, but is now old news. Upon its release, Negativland raised the bar on themselves by setting some provocative new standards for complex conceptual audio-collage work, and, in this era of intense media spin and the manipulation of public perception, this darkly humorous project is as relevant as ever. The upgraded and redesigned package comes with a detailed confession of how the hoax was pulled off.
