NEGATIVLAND: These Guys Are from England and Who Gives a Shit
NEGATIVLAND: These Guys Are from England and Who Gives a Shit
SEELARD 021
CD
In September of 1991 we found our latest record sued out of existence by the mainstream music industry.
Now, decades later, and delivered to Seeland Records in a brown paper wrapper with no identifying information (other than some company we have never heard of called “Seelard Records”), comes this historical audio archive of Negativland's apparently illegal acts involving some unwilling guys from Ireland (though it says here they're from "England.") If you've ever wondered what made Negativland (in)famous, this legally impossible collection of studio and unreleased live radio and in-concert versions of our "most sued work" should exhaust your interest forever. From its casually unconsidered inception to its final induction into the Rock n' Roll Lawyers Hall Of Fame, this is the definitive collection of Negativland's most criminal music.
For obvious reasons, this release is only available on CD and can't be found on any streaming services. Comes with detailed liner notes, and yes, it does contain the actual two tracks that got us into so much trouble! Tracks 3 and 4.
